Ever thought about this: medieval peasants actually had more downtime than most of us do today? Sounds wild, but consider it—they worked seasonally, had religious holidays, and genuinely rested during off-seasons. Fast forward to now, and we're drowning in notifications, endless work cycles, and the blurred line between "on" and "off" hours.

The irony is brutal. Despite all our technology and efficiency gains, we've somehow engineered ourselves into working more for less breathing room. No wonder people are increasingly exploring alternatives—whether that's the gig economy, remote work flexibility, or even Web3 opportunities—anything that promises to reclaim time as the ultimate asset. Time is becoming the new currency everyone's fighting for.

ngl this hits different... peasants had actual off-seasons while we're just running infinite loops on the network. it's like we're all stuck in a perpetual mempool jam, fees bleeding out endlessly. time really did become the scarcest resource, more scarce than optimized gas execution tbh

This is really ironic... We've developed so much technology, yet we're more tightly bound.

That's right, the more developed, the more competitive; this is the reality.

NGL, this contrast is really amazing. We have smartphones but are busier than ever, while medieval peasants actually lived more leisurely...

This article really hit me. Medieval farmers actually didn't have it so hard? That's so damn ironic.

Hmm, indeed. Now I even have to keep email notifications on while sleeping. How can that be more comfortable than the Middle Ages?

Really, this comparison is spot on... Medieval farmers actually lived more relaxed, while we are kidnapped by our phones.
