Circle will launch cirBTC, a 1:1 peg to Bitcoin with on-chain verification support.
Golden Finance reports that on April 3, the stablecoin issuer Circle posted on the X platform announcing that it is about to launch a wrapped Bitcoin cirBTC. cirBTC is supported 1:1 by BTC and can be verified on-chain. Its design is intended to seamlessly work with Circle’s infrastructure and the broader DeFi ecosystem, thereby creating a neutral foundation for new on-chain applications.
