Societe Generale-FORGE has launched its euro-denominated stablecoin, EUR CoinVertible, on the Stellar blockchain as part of its multichain strategy. The stablecoin, compliant with EU regulations, is backed by reserves and has a market cap of $452 million, demonstrating integration potential with traditional finance.

USD Coin (USDC) has overtaken Tether (USDT) in transfer volume, contributing to a record $1.8 trillion in stablecoin transactions in February 2026. The market cap has risen to $314 billion, driven by institutional users, illustrating a shift from traditional banking to stablecoins for settlements.
