In September 2025, the "ETHTokyo 2025" was grandly held in Shibuya, Tokyo, featuring a simultaneous Ethereum developer hackathon and conference. While many people skeptically viewed hackathons as meaningless, developers from around the world gathered for this event, and its founder Vitalik Buterin also took the stage.
