He pointed out that Bitcoin’s decline is the result of multiple trends working together, including Wall Street changing the rules of the Bitcoin game. As Bitcoin is integrated into the traditional financial system, some early holders are exiting. However, at the same time, Bitcoin’s risk is far lower than any period in history. Its decentralization now covers everyone from individual retail investors to large financial institutions, and has proven its resilience through multiple economic crises. However, lower risk will also lead to lower returns. Although Bitcoin is expected to continue outperforming stock indices in the next decade, it will not repeat the compound annual growth rate of over 80% in the past.
