Tether, đơn vị phát hành stablecoin lớn nhất thế giới, đã đầu tư vào LayerZero Labs nhằm thúc đẩy hạ tầng tương tác chuỗi chéo, theo thông báo công bố hôm thứ Ba. Giá trị khoản đầu tư không được tiết lộ.
Thông qua Everdawn Labs, giao thức tương tác của LayerZero đã được sử dụng để phát triển phiên bản omnichain của stablecoin USDT. Token chuỗi chéo này, mang tên USDT0, là đại diện onchain hoàn chỉnh của USDT, cho phép stablecoin neo theo USD phổ biến nhất thế giới mở rộng sang các blockchain nơi USDT chưa được phát hành trực tiếp.
USDT0 được mint theo tiêu chuẩn Omnichain Fungible Token của LayerZero và luôn được bảo chứng theo tỷ lệ 1:1 với USDT. Kể từ khi ra mắt vào đầu năm 2025, USDT0 đã hỗ trợ hơn 70 tỷ USD giá trị giao dịch chuỗi chéo, theo Tether.
CEO Tether Paolo Ardoino cho biết LayerZero “đã xây dựng công nghệ tương tác cho phép tài sản số được chuyển theo thời gian thực qua mọi lớp truyền tải và sổ cái phân tán, tạo ra một tiện ích nền tảng cho ngành tài chính”.
Đội ngũ Tether tin rằng giao thức của LayerZero sẽ đóng vai trò quan trọng trong việc giúp các tác nhân AI vận hành ví tự trị và thực hiện giao dịch stablecoin cũng như tài sản số ở quy mô lớn một cách liền mạch.
Tether, được xem là một trong những tổ chức crypto có lợi nhuận cao nhất thế giới, đang tích cực mở rộng danh mục đầu tư trong những năm gần đây. Tuần trước, công ty cho biết đã rót vốn chiến lược vào t-0 network, một nền tảng thanh toán dành cho các tổ chức tài chính được cấp phép, vận hành dựa trên USDT.
Ngoài ra, Tether cũng mới đầu tư 150 triệu USD vào Gold.com, một nền tảng thương mại trực tiếp tới người tiêu dùng trong lĩnh vực vàng.
